I Wrote JAMB Five Times, Played Football Before Music —Mavin Record Singer, Crayon

Burgeoning Nigerian talent Charles Chibuezechukwu, popularly known as Crayon, has disclosed he wrote Joint Admission and Matriculation (JAMB)’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) five times and played football before delving into music.

Speaking with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Rubbin’ Minds, the Mavin Records artiste revealed his struggles with life before he got signed to Africa’s biggest record label, Mavin Records, headed by renowned entertainer and music executive Don Jazzy.

“I started making music like 2016 officially. I wasn’t in school then but trying to get into the university. I wrote [sic] JAMB five times.”
